A 14-day UK forecast is best treated as a broad trend, not a day-by-day prediction. Forecasts are genuinely skilful out to around five to seven days; beyond that, accuracy falls away quickly, and by days 10–14 an outlook can usually only indicate whether conditions are likely to be, say, wetter or drier and milder or colder than average. It is useful for planning in general terms, but it should not be read as a firm forecast for a specific day two weeks out.
How far ahead can weather actually be forecast?
